My name’s Lauren. And my name’s David. Before choosing Phil and Corey, we actually interviewed seven other agents.
We had them around to our house, and I wouldn’t say it was an interview, it was more of an interrogation. What we didn’t like about the agents that we interviewed and we didn’t choose was the fact that they just came in and tried to blow everything open and sweet talk us and they wouldn’t get down to business, like how we were going to strategise and sell our house. They weren’t open to suggestions.
They were a very closed book on how they wanted to run their strategy of selling our house which wasn’t how we wanted it to be. They tended to keep secret how much commission they were going to take or the expense of advertising, and then hit you.
We wanted someone who was really looking after us and wanting to sell our property for us and get the best price that they could, but it wasn’t all about them. It was about our property and selling ours. So one of the biggest things that we liked about Phil and Corey’s approach was that they actually didn’t charge us for any advertising.
He basically sat down and he told us exactly how he was gonna strategise to sell our property which was more upfront than anybody had ever been within the first five minutes. Phil let us have a contract that we signed for a minimum amount that if he did not get that sale price, then we wouldn’t pay any commission at all.
I’m a business person myself and for someone to offer that thing, they’re backing themselves. The price we asked for was $429,000 for our house. Certainly, when we first started looking at selling our house, we didn’t think that we’d get above $420,000.
It sold within the first open home. It was about, I think, eight thousand over the asking price, on the first day. I’ve actually got a couple of friends that are selling properties and everyone who’s asked me I will recommend Phil and Corey, without a shadow of a doubt. They’ve got what we wanted and then some.
